In case you missed it, Google has decided for the launch of Google Home in Australia to include a 6-month YouTube Red subscription as a bonus for new Google Home owners.
For those of you who have a Chromecast, or five, you’re probably used to checking for, and hopefully redeeming, Chromecast Offers via the old Chromecast app, now Google Home App. There’s great news for those of us with or planning on getting a Google Home. Offers are now available to Google Home owners in Australia, and the first offer is a pretty great one: 6 months free YouTube Red valued at just under $72 AUD.
For those buying a Google Home in Australia before 15 January 2018 who aren’t already subscribed to Google Play Music / YouTube Red, you can redeem six months of free access. The easiest way to claim this offer is to open the Home app and click on the offer in the Discover Tab, or check out the Offers website from a Chrome browser on the same network.
Once claimed, you’ll have immediate access to both Google’s YouTube Red service with ad free YouTube viewing, exclusive shows and more, as well as free access to Google Play Music All Access across all of your devices using your linked account. If you haven’t tried YouTube Red it’s really great to have YouTube with no ads!
If you’ve been on the fence about buying a Google Home perhaps over $70 worth of free Music streaming and ad free YouTube might just be enough to make that purchase worthwhile. If you’ve already got YouTube Red, I have the feeling that you may not be in line for too many premium offers until after 15 January next year.
I didn’t even have to look for it, the Home app offered it as part of the Home setup routine.
So those people who already have a Google Play Music / YouTube Red subscription get nothing? Thanks Google!
as per normal nothing for loyal customers
