The LG G3 has not yet launched in Australia, but that hasn’t stopped rumours of a G3 Mini being products, and today we’ve seen a screen protector from Australian screen protector company Aerios adding fuel to the rumour fire.
There’s little to be gleaned from the image, which shows that even with the ‘Mini’ name attached, the screen is still fairly large. While it’s not in the G3’s 5.5-inch range, previous rumours we’ve seen point to a 4.5-inch screen.
Hardware for the G3 Mini – or G3 Beat as we’re hearing it may be called – is rumoured to be include a 1.2GHz quad core processor, 8GB of internal storage, a 5MP Camera and a 2100mAh battery.
Gadgets4Geeks supplies Aerios products, and while the G3 Mini screen protector isn’t on the website yet, they do have a range of tempered glass screen protectors from Aerios available for other devices.
With the launch of the G3 in Australia next month, it shouldn’t be too long before we hear about a G3 Mini.
Of course, the existence of accessories for an unannounced device doesn’t mean it is going to be announced, but the increasing swarm of rumours around this device gives us the impression that we’ll be seeing it, and hopefully sooner rather than later.
Even if the G3 Mini exists, it’s unclear whether we’ll see it here at all – LG never launched the G2 Mini on our shores, after all. Conversely, LG might like to get amongst the number of “Mini” and “Compact” devices hitting our shelves this year. We’ll know when LG actually announces the phone, either way.
