There’s a lot of rumours floating around regarding the launch, or at least announcements of the upcoming HTC made Nexus, sorry Pixel phones from Google, but a new rumour is locking in October 4th as the date, and according to more rumours, they won’t be the only hardware announced.

According to both Droid-Life and Android Police, October 4th is looking like the date that Google will launch the phones, but according to Android Police, they won’t be launching alone, the phones will launch alongside the Daydream VR viewer that Google announced at Google I/O with the headset/controller combo to possibly be called Daydream View.

The phones and Daydream View hardware will also apparently be joined by a new Chromecast which sources say will be capable of streaming 4K, with the new dongle to be called Chromecast Plus or Chromecast Ultra (we like Ultra with the UltraHD name connotations).

Android Police have also said that Google plans to fully detail Google Home, the physical representation of their upcoming virtual assistant as well.

No mention of the rumoured Angelfish and Swordfish Google built Android Wear watches has been dropped, so it’s possible they may get their own event down the track.

Our inboxes are ready for an invite to an event for this new hardware, but at this stage, it’s all just rumour. We’ll hopefully see more on this soon.

They better announce a date for Home.

Heh, could it be November 1st?

Going by the time in the mockup.

I’m hoping they announce some Android Wear devices. If not it’s probably the Gear S3 for me.

Google can change the names of their currently failed phone sales all they want. But unless they have expandable memory I am still not interested.

Of course, given they are announcing Daydream stuff, they could always hold a totally virtual launch event ….

Haha. Love it.
