Huawei is announcing a new fitness tracker today called the Huawei Fit, shown above. Designed as a watch-style fitness tracker with a round face, the Huawei Fit features an always-on black and white screen, and can track steps, sleep, and continuously monitors your heart-rate during workouts.
We’ve asked Huawei about availability in Australia but don’t have anything firm yet, but we know it’s on sale in the US at Best Buy, Amazon and NewEgg for $USD 129.99.
Appearance-wise, the Huawei Fit is reminiscent of the Pebble Time Round, and is available in a couple of different colour options, including a silver or grey finish, with black, orange or blue wrist-straps. Though the bands are narrow (18mm), they do use standard pins so you can readily replace them with something else to your preference.
Huawei Fit senses when you’re engaged in various exercises, and can track things like walking, running, sleeping, and counts your steps, distance, calories etc. As you’d expect, a partner app for iOS or Android is required to use all the features.
