Sony announced their 2017 Bravia line of televisions at CES this year with a fantastic array of televisions on offer. Importantly for us all but their latest entry level TVs, the W660E line, feature 4K HDR displays and Android TV integration.
If you closely followed this year’s announcement you may be hotly anticipating the release of the new uber-luxury A1 Series 4K HDR OLED TV unfortunately, we’re just going have to wait a little longer on pricing for that model, as well as for the X700E line, which should be the entry level Android TV model, we’re expecting the costs for those in July.
What was confirmed however was the pricing for everything else we can expect from Sony TV’s this year. All of the models below feature 4K HDR displays all powered by Android TV. I have to say if you’re an Android lover these simply are the TV’s to get. Check out the models and pricing below.

As you progress down through the range you lose some features and gain some thickness however, Sony TV’s are traditional excellent so regardless of your budget you should be in line for a great Android TV experience with any of these. With Sony also announcing earlier this year that they would be supporting Google Assistant on their TV’s this may also be an interesting avenue for people to start to experiment with the assistant in their home.
The final models announced were the W660E line which feature “smart features”, such as YouTube but seemingly no Android TV, that are also HD panels (1280 x 720), eschewing 4k and even FHD displays.
Series | Screen Size | Price $ AUD |
---|---|---|
W660E | 49” | $1,099 |
40” | $999 | |
32” | $699 |
I’ve been eyeing off these TV’s ever since they were announced at CES this year, now I have to figure out how to orchestrate two of them arriving in my house.
