Optus have today confirmed the release of the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1″ that we were tipped off about in this post last week. Again our sources have been right on the money with release dates (well 1 day off in this case) and the plans listed are also accurate including the $10 a month saving when the Galaxy Tab 2 is bundled with a mobile phone account.
According to the press release, The Samsung GALAXY Tab 2 10.1 will be available from today in selected Yes Optus stores.

@peter graham – totally agree, these offer very little over the previous gen GT 10.1.. And at the prices being offered here are VERY expensive for what you get… You can get quad core tegra 3 tabs in store for $450 (like an Acer A510) – these are a poor investment
They would have to give me one of these as a part of my existing plan because I wouldn’t pay a cent for such an out of date under specked tablet.

Sorry .. I can be a bit blunt sometimes .. but seriously .. who would bother with this when there are quad core tablets on the market for not much more money. The only thing that needs to happen now is the carriers need to have more tablet selection for bundling purposes.
