Google has begun shipping their latest tablet, the Pixel C to customers in fourteen countries including those in the US, Europe, Asia and Australia. Google obviously intends to give owners full access to the tablet, releasing factory images for the device on the Nexus Factory images page.
The tablet, which is codenamed ‘Ryu’ has two images based on Android 6.0.1 posted but with different build numbers – MXB48J and MXB48K. Google has also posted binaries for the Pixel C, which is codenamed ‘Dragon’, making it possible for developers to build custom ROMs for the tablet.

While it’s early days yet, with limited customers actually receiving the tablet, it’s possible to rebuild the tablet back to factory settings if required. If you’ve managed to get your hands on the tablet and you’ve done something that requires it, head over to the Google Developers page and download the factory images now.
Why would they release different builds of the same version ?
