Earlier this week Lenovo had a launch event where they lifted the lid off 3 new Yoga windows powered laptops alongside 2 new Legion gaming windows powered laptops. The new laptops are all running Windows and powered by Intel chipsets.

Yoga

Lenovo is launching what it claims are the pinnacle of portable performance, with this being the 7th generation Yoga devices and there 6 different models which are launching.

Yoga Slim 9i

The Yoga Slim 9i is a carbon-neutral-certified laptop and has been described by the company as ideal for the eco-conscious without compromising on mobile luxury, premium entertainment features, and A.I.-powered performance.

The Yoga Slim 9i comes with a 14-inch up-to-4K OLED PureSight touchscreen display, complemented with Sound by Bowers & Wilkins. The company has said the PureSight displays provide ultra-sharp detail and clarity and rich, photorealistic colors — from deep blacks to vibrant lights.

The Yoga Slim 9i comes with an Intel Core i7-1280P 1.8G/14C/24M, alongside an Intel Iris Xe graphics card processor. Storage wise the Yoga Slim 9i comes with an SSD of 512GB or 1TB of onboard storage along with a 1080p FHD MIPI Webcam, IR Camera, dual microphones and electronic camera shutter. There is also Wi-Fi 6E connectivity and Bluetooth version 5.1.

Lenovo Slim 7i Pro and Lenovo Slim 7 Pro X

The Lenovo Slim 7i Pro and Lenovo Slim 7 Pro X have also been designed for sheer power to create from anywhere and can deliver the raw performance for users to realise their ambitions.

They feature up to next-gen processors, up to 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM, up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU with NVIDIA Studio validation, and Lenovo’s X Power that takes thermal design power to the next level.

Both the Lenovo Slim 7i Pro and the Lenovo Slim 7 Pro X models come with 14.5-inch 3K 120Hz refresh Lenovo PureSight display with optional touch. The Lenovo Slim 7i Pro comes in 3 different processors – Intel Core i7-12700H 2.3G/14C/24M, Intel Core i7-12650H 2.3G/10C/24M and Intel Core i5-12500H 2.5G/12C/18M alongside LPDDR5: 16G / 32G Dual Channel, LPDDR5 6000MHz RAM options and SSD Storage options being 512GB / 1TB. The Yoga Slim 7 Pro X comes with 3 different types of processors from AMD which include, AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS Creator Edition, AMD Ryzen 7 6800HS Creator Edition and AMD Ryzen 5 6600HS Creator Edition.

Both devices come with a 1080p FHD Webcam, IR Camera, Electronic Camera Shutter and Dual Microphones alongside WiFi 6 and WiFi 6E connectivity, Bluetooth version 5.1 and a 170°-180° swivel hinge.

The Lenovo Slim 7i Pro X comes with 2x TBT 4 (Full function, 40Gbps), 1x USB A 3.2 Gen1 with BC 1.2, 1x 3.5mm Audio combo Jack and 1X HDMI2.0 portjs whilst the Lenovo Slim 7 Pro X comes with 2x Type-C (USB 3.2 Gen2 10G, DP 1.4a, PD 3.0), 1x USB A 3.2 Gen1 with BC 1.2, 1x Audio Combo Jack and 1X USB A (USB3.2 Gen1) Ports.

The Lenovo Slim 7i Pro will come in two different colours – Dark Teal and Cloud Grey whilst the Lenovo Slim 7 Pro will come in only Storm Grey. The Yoga Slim 7i Pro X will launch soon, though no time frame was provided and will retail from about $2,449 whilst the Lenovo Slim 7 Pro is available to purchase now through Lenovo retail partners for $2,749.

Yoga Slim 7i Carbon

The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon has been designed for those who embrace hybrid living and the freedom to get things done from their living room to the office alongside what the company states as amazing mobile performance, matching its extraordinary lightness of under 1kg and super thin at 14.8mm.

The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon comes with a 13.3inch 2.5K (2560 x 1600) PureSight IPS, 400 nits display alongside Intel Core i7 1260P 2.1G/12C/18M and Intel Core i5 1240P 1.7G/12C/12M processors, a Intel Iris Xe graphics card processor. There is also 3 different types of RAM with 8G / 16G / 32G along with three different types of storage in SSD capacity such as 256G / 512GB / 1TB.

The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon comes with WiFi 6 and WiFi 6E, Bluetooth version 5.1, HD Webcam, IR Camera, Electronic Camera Shutter, Dual Microphones, 2x2W Harman Speakers and Dolby Atmos Audio. There is also 1x TBT4.0 (PD3.0/DP1.4/USB4.0) and 1x Type C Full function (PD3.0/DP1.4/USB3.2 Gen2) ports available.

The Yoga Slim 7i Carbon comes in 3 colour options – Moon White, Cloud Grey and Storm Grey and is available to purchase soon, although no time frames given at the time and retail for about $2,299.

Yoga Slim 7 Pro

The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro has been built for essential performance and comes with a 16-inch 2.5K (2560 x 1600) Touch IPS, 500 nits, display that includes 100% sRGB, 165Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision.

The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro is powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 6800HS Creator Edition or AMD Ryzen 5 6600HS Creator Edition Processor chipset alongside NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU or AMD Radeon 600M Series Graphics.

There is also 6G/32G RAM to choose from alongside SSD 512GB / 1TB memory options. The Yoga Slim 7 Pro comes with a FHD Webcam, IR Camera, Dual Microphones, Wi-Fi 2 x 2 AX connectivity and Bluetooth version 5.1.

In terms of ports, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro comes with the following ports –
AMD+UMA: 2 x USB A 3.2 Gen1, 1 x SD Card ,1 x HDMI 2.0, 1 x USB 3.2 Type-C, 1 x Type C (PD+USB 2.0) and 1 x Audio Jack where as the AMD_RTX version comes with 2 x USB A 3.2Gen1, 1 x SD Card, 1 x HDMI 2.0, 1 x USB 3.2 Type-C, 1 x square DC in and 1 x Audio Jack ports.

The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro will come in Storm Grey colour and can be purchased through official Lenovo retail partners for $2,199 and $2,699.

Legion gaming computers

The new 7th generation of Legion devices which are launching here, the Lenovo Legion Slim 7i and 7 are the world’s most mobile, powerful and ‘savage’ 16-inch gaming laptops in the market according to Lenovo.

Both devices are thin and light and have multiple improvements over previous generations and devices launched by Lenovo and come with improvements to the thermal system that include a 29% increase in size alongside a 31%more liquid crystal polymer fan blades that are also 40% thinner, while spinning 100rpm faster thanks to a dual fan system. There is also an additional copper heat pipe dedicated just for the GPU VRAM, as well as a coating of phase-change thermal compound to boost heat sink effectiveness. This ensures the device doesn’t overheat whilst gaming and enables you to continue gaming and switching between your work needs and gaming needs.

Lenovo Legion Slim 7i

The Lenovo Legion Slim 7i comes with a 16-inch WQXGA (2560 x 1600) IPS display that comes in two different processors either a 12th Generation Intel Core i9-12900HX or 12th Generation Intel Core i7-12800HX processor chipsets.

Graphics wise, the Lenovo Legion Slim 7i comes with two NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU with16 GB GDDR6 or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU with 8 GB GDDR6 graphics processor alongside 16 GB (2 X 8 GB) or 32 GB (2 X 16GB) RAM and 512 GB / 1 TB / 2 TB SSD storage options.

There is also Built-in FHD Webcam (1080p) with E-Shutter, 2 x 2W Harman super linear speaker system and smart amp with Nahimic Audio. In terms of ports, the Lenovo Legion Slim 7i comes with the following ports:

Lenovo Legion Slim 7

The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 comes with a 16-inch WQXGA (2560 x 1600) IPS display powered by either two AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX Processor or AMD Ryzen 7 6800H Processor and either AMD Radeon RX6850M XT Graphics 12GB GDDR6, AMD RDNA 2 architecture or AMD Radeon RX6700M Graphics 10GB GDDR6, AMD RDNA 2 architecture Graphics processor.

In terms of RAM, the Legion Slim 7 comes with either 16 GB (2 X 8 GB) or 32 GB (2 X 16GB) RAM with either 512 GB / 1 TB / 2 TB SSD Storage options.
