360-degree cameras are a lot of fun and add a new dimension to telling a story of your travels. It’s not something you need all the time, so being able to add one as an accessory to your phone is a neat idea that LyfieEye first introduced us to back in 2016. They’re back with a new model, and this one is new, improved and offers more features.
The LyfieEye200 is now listed on IndieGoGo as a project, with the run down of features looking quite good. It’s been updated from the original, including higher resolution capture, a sleeker new look and support for USB-C connections. It also now offers 360-degree FullHD resolution live-streaming to YouTube and Facebook as a bonus.
The LyfieEye 200 can capture images in 2880x1440p resolution at up to 30fps. The company says it’s VR/AR Enabled, but that’s a bit of a buzzword these days, and what it will do is capture good quality 360-degree images you can share. The software will seamlessly stitch your images & video, and you can preview what you’re shooting with a Live Shot Preview.
The camera connects via USB-C now, with support for devices running Android 5.0 and above – it also supports Windows 7 or higher.
The basic version of LyfieEye200 is available for $89USD ($10USD for shipping), or you can go for the higher end bundle which includes a heap of USB-C adaptor cables, and a stand for your camera which lets you use it as a 360-degree web cam or live-streaming camera for your office, for $115USD (again, $10USD for international shipping).
