Mother’s Day is approaching and one option you could consider if your mum likes to read is an eInk ebook reader from Kobo or Kindle.
I like Kobo personally because it supports more ebook file formats, let’s you buy from it’s own online store as well as 3rd party stores and most importantly has direct Overdrive/Libby support for ebooks borrowed from the local council libraries I’m a member of.
However Kindle has the advantage of a larger range of books available from it’s online book store and if you have a subscription to Amazon Prime you get access to over a rotating selection of over 1000 books via Prime Reading for free.
Both the Kobo Clara HD 6″ 8GB with ComfortLight PRO and Kindle Paperwhite 6″ 8GB Waterproof eReaders are on sale at JB Hi-Fi, Officeworks, Myer and of course Kobo and Amazon websites for about $169. However Booktopia is even more affordable at $157.95 for the Clara HD.
