Hail to the King, Baby! Be prepared to hear that line a lot this year. Voidpoint, a gaming company formed from EDuke32, a company created to preserve the best of Duke Nukem has announced their intention to release the Hail to the King Collection on Android.
Featuring the best games of Duke Nukem 3D, the collection is due to arrive on Android in Q1 2015. The announcement of the collection co-incides with the 19th anniversary of the launch of Duke Nukem 3D on PC back in 1996. The games will be launched on PC as well as Android and the Hail to the King collection will include a huge array of titles including the original Duke Nukem 3D PC game and the expansion Duke It Out in D.C, Duke Caribbean: Life’s a Beach and Duke: Nuclear Winter, there’s also the Nintendo 64 game Duke Nukem 64 and the PlayStation original Duke Nukem: Total Meltdown.
In terms of what to expect the games will feature :
- Brand new bundled collection of the PC, N64, and PS1 versions of Duke Nukem 3D and three expansions.
- Never-before available re-release of Nintendo 64 version ‘Duke Nukem 64’ including redesigned and exclusive levels, censorship, lack of strippers/hookers (if that’s your thing), new weapons, and new enemies.
- Never-before available re-release of PlayStation version ‘Duke Nukem: Total Meltdown’ featuring the exclusive episode ‘Plug N’ Pray,’ new enemies, and Mark ‘TDK’ Knight’s atmospheric soundtrack.
- Kick ass on the go with an all-new touch control scheme, or with Bluetooth, PS3, or Xbox 360 controllers.
- Alternate soundtracks, refined visuals, and more! Duke has never looked so good.
