The Sensibo Sky air conditioning controller is a godsend. For those who live in Australia’s increasingly hot and unpredictable cities, being able to remotely control your air conditioning is an essential skill. Better yet, having it react to increasing heat in your home is something that money can’t really buy.
Except, it can, and for $20 less now. Sensibo’s Sky controller is on sale at JB HiFi for $139 at the moment, which is $20 off RRP.
If you’ve got any air conditioners at your place, these are an essential smart-home piece of equipment. You can remotely enable/disable your air conditioner, change the fan speed and mode, and view a history chart of temperature, humidity and “feels like” temperature as well. If you want to understand what’s happening at your place, these things are brilliant.
Duncan first reviewed these about 12 months ago, and I was so convinced by his review I went and bought three; one for our living room, master bedroom and the kids’ room. Now our place is cool when it needs to be, and we save power when it doesn’t.
I can’t recommend these enough. They’re compatible with Android, iOS, and there’s a web portal as well. You can also integrate Sensibo Sky with your Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant devices for added effect. There’s nothing like setting a custom routine to recognise “OK Google, it’s bloody hot” as your desire for air conditioning!
Can anyone confirm if they work with Fujitsu split systems? My key issue with the genetic IR blasters is that you can’t easily change from heat to cool to auto as it is a toggle function
I’ve always wanted to try one of these, but the controller on my Samsung ducted system doesn’t have an IR port. 🙁
I have two of these throughout the house. After first trying generic wifi IR blasters I can say these are worth the money. They work great, and got a workout this summer. Now considering a third unit for my dedicated heater in preparation for winter.
