After denying the HTC One S of any further updates just recently, the jewel of the 2012 HTC lineup – the HTC One X – has apparently started receiving an update to Android 4.2.2 in Europe.
The update which weighs in at 379.63MB is an update from Android 4.1 to Android 4.2.2 and includes updates to Sense 5. The full list of updates includes :
- System
- HTC BlinkFeed
- New Lock screen stule Widget
- Power
- Show battery level in status bar
- Add sleep mode option in Power settings Notifications
- Quick Settings panel: 12 default settings by new touch gesture
- Gallery/Camera
- AE/AF Lock feature: Lock Exposure/Focus on viewfinder screen
- Video Highlights: Create 30 seconds show in 12 different Themes
- Music
- Music Channel: Visualisation
While none of the software update blogs for Vodafone, Telstra or Optus include a reference to an update to the HTC One X as even being in testing. Hopefully in this weeks updates we will see the update added to the list as ‘in testing’.

Have lost the levels adjustment once this update installed.
The update now available for download for the Telstra HTC One XL. Downloaded it last night.
Interestingly, you can turn BlinkFeed off on the One X. I wonder if this will be an option next time the One is updated…
Good to see HTC are keeping up with their promise on quick upgrades….oh wait how long ago was 4.2.2 out???
Hopefully not long till the One XL gets updated.
