YouTube has recently begun offering new options for streaming choices, and with LG launching the first phone widely available available with a 1440P resolution, Google has now begun offering the option to stream videos with that resolution in YouTube as well.
The LG G3, really stands out not only for its design, but for its QuadHD (2,560×1,440) display, which allows owners to view high definition video. With only a limited amount of phones using a QHD resolution display, this option will be limited.
More devices with a QuadHD resolution are set to either launch or expand availability over the next year, so the option for 1440P will become more useful as they do. The availability of higher resolution content is the next thing that users will need uploaded to YouTube so that this option can be chosen.
Do you have an LG G3 or Oppo Find 7? Have you placed your YouTube video streaming to 1440p playback? What do you think of this new feature to the YouTube app?
Youtube has trouble with 480P let alone 1440P.
