Google’s Android One program has expanded further into Asia, with a launch in Pakistan announced today with partner QMobile.
The QMobile A1 is based on the original Android One spec that launched the program in India last year and has since expanded to 6 other markets. The spec includes a range of hardware which covers the basics on Smartphones, without breaking the bank. The QMobile A1 will sell for 11,500 Pakistani Rupees (around $150AUD). The spec includes :

The QMobile A1 is now available in retail stores, and unlike many other announcements of Android One no carrier partnership has been announced by Google. The phone will come with Android 5.1, with Google promising that the phone will ‘automatically receive updates to the latest version of Android soon after they are released’ but no mention of supplying free access to the data required to download those updates.
If you’re heading to Pakistan, this may be a decent handset to pick up while you’re in-country.
