At the recent launch of the Nexus 5X and 6P in India, local tech press got hands on with the phones and delved into the settings and took a large number of hands-on videos showing off the features. The tidbit that’s piqued everyones interest today is under the settings menu for Display, which shows two new ways to quickly launch the camera, including a ‘Double Twist’ to launch wrist flick that Motorola owners will be familiar with, as well as the option to double tap the power button.
As pointed out by 9to5Google, the feature was actually announced by Qualcomm earlier this month when they spoke about the new Nexus phones and their Qualcomm processors, specifically saying:
With Context Core, both the Nexus 5X and 6P cameras can launch with two twists of the user’s wrist and display notifications with a nudge.
