HTC won’t be using their ‘One’ series for their high end phones any more, but the budget One X10 will apparently be released later this quarter as a budget device – and the phone has just hit the internet in our first live look at the device.
The first photos come to us via Chinese social media site Weibo – the source of a lot of these leaks – and show a nicely designed aluminium unibody design similar to its predecessor, the One X9.
The phone, from the looks of things will come with a power button and volume rocker on the right hand side, with a centre mounted camera on the rear along with a new addition for the One X line: a fingerprint scanner just beneath the camera. The One X10 will again utilise capacative buttons on the front.
Internally, a previous leak has said the phone will come with a 5.5″ FullHD (1920×1080) display and be powered by an Octa-Core Mediatek (MT6755V/C) processor clocked at 1.9GHz with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage and possibly a microSD card slot. The phone will also have decent camera chops with a 16.3MP rear camera and 7.9MP front-facing camera.
The One X10 may or may not come to Australia, the previous One X9 model was originally launched in the Chinese market before showing up in Australia for a limited time exclusively on the Vodafone network. But it was a pretty decent phone when we reviewed it last year, so if the One X10 heads here, we’ll be sure to give it a look.
