MWC is wrapping up and even after the flurry of announcements this week we set ourselves for more in the coming weeks. In just a few weeks time all eyes will turn to Paris as Huawei will launch their next flagship smartphone, the P30 Pro.

The Huawei P30 Pro is set to continue Huawei’s impressive phone showing of great hardware combined with some great software. One area they are looking to improve on is the fast charging.

Last year Huawei’s P20 Pro charged at just 22.5W (5V, 4.5A), down on some of their competitors currently. Their Mate 20 Pro gained the new Huawei Supercharge and bumped their charging up to 40W.

Unsurprisingly Huawei will continue this and include the same 40W charging in the P30 Pro according to documents from China’s 3C certification. The documentation does not reveal much else aside from the wired fast charging of 40W for the P30 Pro and the same older 22.5W charging for the P30 standard model.

For reference, the OPPO industry-leading SuperVOOC charging uses 50W of charging and is ridiculously fast and the OnePlus Warp Charge 30 operates at a maximum of 30W so the Huawei will be one of the fastest charging speeds available.

The Huawei P30 lineup will be announced in Paris on March 26 where they are expected to show off yet another camera system for their phones – a quad camera with 10x optical zoom.

With some impressive innovations in the P series phones this year combined with those still impressive from last year there is little doubt that the P30 Pro will once again have Huawei fighting at the top of the Android pile for flagship supremacy.
