While the top-shelf flagship phones get all the attention, it pays to remember that there are usually other devices announced alongside. We’ve seen many rumours about the P30 to be launched in a couple of weeks, but the P30 Lite has seen relatively less attention.
Today, though, we have some press renders to share, and I have to say the P30’s little brother looks alright to me.
Yes, there’s a notched display,m but the notch is pretty small on a screen that’s 6.15-inches across, with slim bezels and a slightly thicker chin. On the rear, there’s few surprises, but the P30 Lite will spot a triple camera setup and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor as well.
That triple camera setup is said to comprise a 24MP main sensor, paired up with an 8MP and 2MP sensor. Exactly what configuration options will be present we don’t know, but one might imagine there’s a wide angle and a telephoto lens perhaps.
Internally, we’re anticipating a step down from the top-level Kirin 980, probably to something of a midrange Kirin 710. 128GB of storage is rumoured, alongside 4 to 6GB of RAM depending on market.
With a rumoured launch price of €369, the P30 Lite couldn’t be described as super cheap, but it fits squarely in that coveted mid-range category.
