Samsung are showing they believe the future is ready for us, labelled “the Era of Live” and today have launched another 5G device – The Galaxy A90 5G.
We’re excited about the success of the Galaxy A Series – a generation of smartphones built for the new Era of Live that focuses on essential features people want the most, including a high-quality camera, long-lasting battery and immersive display.
Clearly at this point in time, your experience will be heavily dictated by the availability of 5G in your local area. If you are in a 5G area, you’re in for high speeds, low lag and a more connected lifestyle in most cases.
A quick look at the specs reveals a pretty sharp device. The A90 5G measures 164.8 x 76.4 x 8.4mm and weighs 206 grams. The screen is a pretty sizeable 6.7-inch 1080P SuperAMOLED screen with an in-display fingerprint reader.
The performance side of things is driven by a Snapdragon 660 and (model dependent) 6GB/8GB RAM with 128GB storage. If the built in storage isn’t enough for your needs, you can use the MicroSD slot in the 6GB model to add up to 512GB of storage.
The cameras are right up to current standards with a triple rear camera setup. The rear camera setup is a 48MP f2.0, an ultra wide 8MP f2.2 and depth camera with 5MP f2.2. For the selfie folk out there, the selfie camera is a 32MP f2.0 that (on paper at least) will take very good photos in varying light conditions.
The A90 5G has a 4500mAh battery that should last through a solid day of use and with 25W fast charging you’re only a 15 minute top up away from a lot more screen on and general use of your phone.
Available in black or white colour, we’re waiting on confirmation of the cost, availability and variants for the Australian market. Once this comes through we’ll let you know the details.
