It’s still a few days before the Made by Google event kicks off in New York, and Best Buy has struck again, listing the Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL for pre-order in Canada.
It’s not the first time Best Buy has broken cover on Google’s products, either. Earlier this year, Pixel 3a XL appeared on Best Buy before it was announced, as did ChromeCast 3 units.
The pre-order page is gone now, after someone presumably figured out what was going on, but not before the Internet took note of every single detail.
Unlike some placeholder pages in the past, the Pixel 4 pre-order page was surprisingly detailed, giving us specifications, lifestyle photos and more.
Features like Quick Gestures (using the Soli radar function) were shown off, as were Pixel 4’s camera prowess with some nice sample photos. The spec sheet – above – also shows comparison with last year’s Google Pixel 3 XL, showing a decent performance and specification improvement across the board (but you’d describe it as more evolutionary rather than revolutionary).
No doubt the pre-order page will reappear sometime Wednesday morning (Australian time) but, more relevantly, we’ll probably see some local pre-order options too.
