Optus has added two new prepaid devices to its line up with the Optus X Go and X Pro, both which are available under the sub $200 price.
Both devices seem to be Alcatel and ZTE devices, just rebadged under the Optus name. The Optus X Go is essentially the Alcatel 1V(2020) while the Optus X Pro is the ZTE P650 Pro.
Optus X Go (Alcatel 1V 2020)
The Optus X Go, as stated above, is a rebadged Alcatel 1V (2020) and is the more budget-end device which comes with the signature tear drop notch display but a double rear camera and looking at the full list of specs, does seem to offer some decent specs for a pretty good price.

Optus X Pro (ZTE P650 Pro)
The Optus X Pro is a re-badged ZTE P650 Pro which based on the word inclusion Pro, is trying to offer a more rounded experience. The full list of specs include:

For budget devices like these you can’t expect them to launch with the freshly minted Android 11 but hopefully they will see an upgrade to the latest Android version sometime in their lifespan. These are budget devices so we shouldn’t expect too much but it does seem that you can get a fair experience for very little buck these days.
Optus X Pro would have been perfect for my elderly dad if it was running Android One or Go. He does use his phone for banking and I would like the assurance of regular and timely security updates. For dad, not too fussed if Android 11 ever arrives. But security is another matter.
These 2 bland noo Chinadroids getting new versions of Android during their life is doubtful at best, as neither device is an AndroidGo or an AndroidOne device.
