There’s enough little bits of information around for us to believe the Pixel 6a is real. Now thanks to a new leak from Techxine we get our first look at packaging.
Unfortunately, the leak, simply an image of the retail package, gives us little detail about the phone. It does tell us that the device has — if accurate — stayed true to the look of the other Pixel 6 devices. it shows a dual-camera array and, according to their source, notes a global launch “soon”.
Given the lower price of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro contributing to higher sales figures, we assume that the Pixel 6a will land at a very affordable price. Just how affordable that is and when the device will become available in Australia, we don’t yet know. We’ll be keeping our eyes out for official details and any further leaks.
What do you need to see from the Pixel 6a to make it a viable option as your next phone?
~$749 AUD would be my bet with 6GB/128GB. Things are unfortunately going up in price…
Pixel 4a came in at $599. We didn’t get the 5a. I would expect the 6a to be $599 or less, say $499-549 to be very competitive.
