Vodafone is one of the mobile carriers that offer a 5G alternative to fixed-line broadband. Now, that’s great of course, but with such a wide range of offerings what represents good value?

Vodafone is trying to redefine that value with the new 5G home broadband offerings valued at $60 and $65 per month for existing clients, with a $5 per month premium for new clients. The plans both give you unlimited data with a speed restriction of 50Mbps and 100Mbps respectively.

Our network is the strongest it’s ever been, and we’re excited to be offering more choice and competition for customers across Australia, at more affordable prices than ever before. It’s never been a better time to sign up with Vodafone.

Some may argue that it’s disingenuous of Vodafone to offer a 5G service at restricted speeds, particularly given the theoretical top speeds of 5G. This isn’t about the delivery of speed and it’s important to remember that this is intended to be an NBN alternative product. So many NBN customers struggle to reach the theoretical maximum speeds the NBN has to offer; So a more consistent speed, closer to 100Mbps would be an absolute blessing.

Our usual caution applies to any mobile carrier connection. Check the coverage maps and ensure the service will meet your needs prior to signing for the service.
