HTC’s 2016 flagship — dubbed simply the HTC 10 — is due to receive Android Nougat as soon as this Friday, provided it’s an unlocked handset, and in the US. HTC USA took to Twitter over the weekend to announce the update:
The Unlocked #HTC10 is getting Android Nougat — We've just passed TA testing, so you can expect a rollout to begin on Friday. pic.twitter.com/tmEnc0lyQq

The update is quite likely a bit further away for HTC 10 users in Australia, as it isn’t listed on the major carriers’ software update pages and there’s been nothing heard from HTC Australia on the subject just yet. However, once the update is released elsewhere, there’s a very good chance that the update files will find their way to places like XDA, so you can — if you’re game — grab the update ahead of the official rollout here in Australia.
As usual, once we know more, we’ll let you know.
Vodafone actually has it listed.
