With two Marvel movie tie-in games – Spiderman and Ironman – under their belt already, Gameloft has announced that they will be releasing the official movie tie-in game for the next Marvel movie to be released Thor: The Dark World.
The overarching story for the game has been written by Marvel Writer Christopher Yost – who also is credited as a screenwriter for the Thor: The Dark World film – is an original tale that will see Thor restoring order to the Nine Worlds. As Thor you will lead Asgards forces through 100 missions against Marauders and Dark Elves.
The game, which is expected to be released around November, which should co-incide nicely with the launch of the movie here in Australia on October 31st. Thor: The Dark World will be released to Android as well as iOS as a free to to play game, although it’s expected based on other Gameloft titles, that some freemium aspect will be present. A social multiplayer element will be included in the game with players geting the ability to join forces to earn victory.
