If you’re constantly seeing patterns in numbers around you, then Australian developer Andrew Sario (the maker of IN 5 Browser) has a new puzzle game you might like to try. 10Up has hit the Play store this week, offering you some maths-based distraction on your way to work – and elsewhere.
10Up is based on an informal game often played by public transport users in Sydney (and maybe elsewhere) that asks you to take four digits and find a way to add, subtract, multiply and divide them to end up with a result of 10. Exactly how you get to 10 can be a bit of a brain teaser.
The public transport connection? Sydney train carriages have 4-digit numbers on their cars.
The game sports an easy and a hard mode … and perhaps there needs to be a really easy one (my hands are up). Once you’ve finished a game you can share the results with your friends and challenge them to beat you.
10Up is a neat way to pass time on the train. We’d like to see a custom entry mode where you get to enter the number of the carriage you’re on, to see if you can solve it, and perhaps some Google Play Games integration for comparing your winning streaks against your friends.
Download 10Up for free from Google Play.
Awesome! Finally this game has been done. Awaiting all the updates to come! I can average 400 points now!
I always watch TV and Movies on my laptop. The problem being when GOT has a full nude scene…
I will give this a go to pass the time in other sitting down activities. I am starting to get bored with 2048.
I play a variant where you have to get 24 instead of 10. Drives me up the wall, but I can’t help it.
Sounds interesting enough as a time waster – giving it a go.
