From its roots as an agricultural show back in 1823, the Sydney Royal Easter Show still shows off the best produce, livestock and handicrafts from around NSW, but it’s grown into much more. There’s rides, junk food and of course showbags, so how best to see everything? Grab the Sydney Royal Easter Show 2015 app for your phone.
The app has all the features you could want, including the ability to purchase tickets from within the app. There’s an interactive map to guide you around the venue and all the pavillions to ensure you get the best experience, with the ability to plan your trip with the ‘My Plan’ section. You can of course browse the showbags, discover hidden deals and then share your whole experience.
The app isn’t going to wow you with Material Design, but it’s functional and for the first time uses GPS with the interactive map to get you where you’re going faster. It does seem fairly easy to use so it’s a win for when you’re trying to navigate round with screaming, tired children.
The Royal Easter Show opened today and runs through until the 8th of April, if you’re heading to the show, head on over to Google Play and grab the app, it’s free and ready to go.
The ad shows why the app doesn’t have, and won’t have, a Real Android Design.
The mob guilty of this app were pandering to users stuck in The Rotten Fruit Co, and when they ported the iObject app to Android, they were so lazy, they left the iObject UI intact and could not be bothered making an Android UI version of the app.
