This mornings announcement of Google expanding their third-party access to the Google Now card stream includes at least one Australian company. Real-estate website Domain has announced that they are the first Australian company to work with Google on integrating cards into your Google Now stream.
The Google Now cards for Domain will of course not appear in your stream if you don’t have the Domain app installed. But once installed, you will be the recipient of a number of different Google Now cards which may suit your needs.
Firstly, the Domain app notes your search history and based on that, can alert you of new listings as soon as they hit the market. There’s nothing worse than finding your dreamhouse came and went because you hadn’t looked recently, so this will be a timely one for house hunters. The Now card will also alert you when updates are made to properties listed on your shortlist, including price changes, auction times or if a property is removed from the market.
For house hunters, the inspection of a property is all-important and there’s also Google Now cards for that, with cards delivering a full summary of the property they are viewing, and when you leave, other open houses nearby are also shown.
The Domain app is ready to download now from Google Play for free, the Google Now cards will begin appearing once the Google Search app is updated. If you’re in the market for a new home, or an investment property, grab the Domain app, search your properties and get some information saved, you should see Google Now cards in no time.
