Microsoft’s personal assistant app Cortana, which is due to make an appearance on Android and iOS devices later this year when Windows 10 launches has leaked for Android.
The APK has been made freely available for users to download and install with no restrictions. Cortana is a voice-assistant from Microsoft, with the ability to supplant a number of functions available in Google Now, such as reminding you about things based on time or location, look up information from the web or sing you a song, or tell a joke.
The app can be downloaded from APKMirror,
Microsoft has addressed the leak in a statement to ZDNet, announcing a public beta, which you can apply to sign up for, will be available in the coming weeks.
In the spirit of the Windows Insider Program, we’re testing the Cortana for Android beta with a limited number of users in the U.S. and China before releasing the beta publicly in the next few weeks.
If you want to give it a shot, it seems to be fully functional, try it out and let us know what you think.
