Google has been updating their office productivity apps Slides, Docs and Sheets quite regularly and today Google has added some cross functionality between Slides and Hangouts offering the ability to now present Slides presentations within Hangouts.
During a Hangouts conversation you can now use your tablet or phone to present your Slides presentation with speaker notes appearing on your device as well. To initiate the presentation simply click the ‘present’ button. The Slides app will show a timer on the screen to ensure that meeting doesn’t go overly long as well. Through all this, you will also still be able to see who is in your call.
The update will be rolling out today to anyone with the Slides app installed. Ensure you have it installed and up to date to get the new function.
