It’s that time of the week again, when Google udpates their Google Play App and Game Deal of the Week, which means you get a new game, and a new app for just 20c each. This week we have Lightflow and Deep Dungeons of Doom for you to check out.
App Deal of the Week:
Light Flow – LED&Notifications
If you have no idea what Light Flow is then you need to get in on this action right now. Light Flow takes that notification LED on your phone (if it has one) and makes it work its little light emitting diode butt off. You can use Light Flow to customise the heck out of the notification LED making it flash different colours based on which app receives a notification. Even better, you can also control vibration, sound and more recently Android Wear notifications.
Light Flow has been around for a Looooong time and it’s an institution for serious Android modders out there. At $0.20 it’s an absolute bargain and there’s no In-App Purchases to mar the experience either. There’s rarely an app that the entire Ausdroid team recommends, but you’d be hard pressed to get any of us saying a bad thing about this app – get it.
Game Deal of the Week:
Deep Dungeons of Doom
Going from an app I’m intimately familiar with to Deep Dungeons of Doom is a big step, but it looks like fun. The game has that pixelised style you’ll associate with 90’s game, and it appears to be a Dungeons and Dragons turn-based game for Android. The official synopsis for the game says:
You will meet monsters and you will need skill and tactics to defeat them. You will find weird and wonderful treasures along the way. Most will help you, but some might not. You may choose to play as a Crusader, a Witch or a Mercenary โ in fact each one might well be required if you are to successfully complete your quest โ but knowing when to use each one is something you are going to have to figure out for yourself.
The game is fairly unknown, having only been downloaded between 5000-10000 times previously, so this is pretty big exposure for developer Bossa Studios. The game is only $0.20 and there’s no In-App Purchases, so it’s worth a shot.
Head on over to Google Play and pick up your App and Game Deal of the Week, and join us next week when hopefully we’ll see another two deals.
I use light flow lite on my nexus 5, I like, so for 20ยข why not go for the full version
Back using light flow again after a few years with HTC and no RGB LED.
The LED function is lost a little on me because I’m colourblind, but I also change vibration sequences for notifications and it’s great for that
I love LightFlow. Had been using it for years. Until I got my N6. Stupid N6 with its stupid root only access to the notification LED.
I tried LightFlow for a long time but could just not get it to work reliably.
