For anyone wanting to read digital books, there’s a couple of apps you should be looking at, Google Play Books instantly springs to mind, as does Amazon’s Kindle app, but there’s a massive market out there for people wanting more control over their digital library and that’s where Moon+ Reader Pro comes in.

With support for all the major eBook and e-Comic formats – epub, pdf, mobi, chm, cbr, cbz, umd, fb2, txt, html, rar, zip or OPDS – there’s a lot to like right there, but it also supports the latest EPUB3 standard which includes video and audio support as well as popup footnotes.

Moon+ Reader Pro also gives users the option to manage your library in the cloud yourself with sync to/from Dropbox or Google Drive and you have a real winner.

The usual options for displaying books are there, but it’s well laid out and relatively simple to use – and it’s just 20c. Moon+ Reader Pro also supports online libraries like Project Gutenberg to get you access to free, public domain books (So you can go read all of Sherlock Holmes for free etc).

Moon+ Reader is definitely something that all book lovers should have in their app library, check it out now on Google Play.

Google Play Game Deal of the Week
Table Tennis Touch

If you’re looking for a game this week, you could do a lot worse than Table Tennis Touch from UK based developers Yakuto.

The game is essentially what you’d think, it’s a mobile version of Table Tennis, or ‘Ping Pong’ if you will. The game has you taking on friends or the computer, online or locally (through Wi-Fi) to become the very best.

Table Tennis Touch is visually appealing with good looking graphics and has some pretty decent looking physics to take care of all the top/side/back spin you want to put on your ball. The game has both championship and ‘quick’ game modes as well as the multi-player option.

At 20c, it’s a bargain, but there is the option to purchase bat skins in the game, which range in price from between $1.01 – $3.02 per item. Still, for 20c it’s a pretty good deal, check it out on Google Play now.

Pick of the week for me has to be Moon+ Reader Pro, I have owned this app and used it for years, although with a heap of online storage available in Google Play Books, I tend to use it a bit more – but still, it’s worth a look.

Come back next week to check out what else Google has in store for us.
