After testing the much requested feature on their Android Beta group, Instagram has this morning finally announced that as of version 7.15, Instagram will now support multiple accounts.
The feature, which lets you add up to 5 accounts to really maximise your #hashtag usage overall, was announced on the Instagram Blog, with Instagram saying:
Starting this week, you can quickly and easily switch between multiple accounts on Instagram! ?
Go to your profile settings to add an additional account. From there, tap your username at the top of your profile to switch between accounts. Once you have multiple accounts added, you’ll see your profile photo appear in places throughout the app so you can always tell which one you’re using at the moment.

Account switching will be available as part of Instagram version 7.15 for iOS and Android.
The update has yet to show up for most users on Android, with the app already at version 7.16.0. When the feature does show up, you’ll be able to jump into settings and hit ‘Add Account’ to add your new account and once you’ve added an extra account you can then simply go to your profile and tap on the username to change accounts — simple. Once an extra account has been added, you will see push notifications from any account you’ve added and if you’re wanting to remove account you can log out of one, or all your Instagram accounts.
We’re a bit excited for this update, running the Ausdroid account has meant I haven’t seen an update from my own timeline in months (I`m too lazy to log out and back in Ok!). Hopefully this update starts showing up shortly for all.
Now just add the ability to download photos and videos and I can stop using phonegram
This will be great to keep up with the new Insta features for both accounts. I run an account for my football club, but I have used Insta for my own, and downloaded instwogram for the club. Now I can just use the one
