Google’s cross platform note-taking, list-making tool, Keep is receiving a decent update today on both the web and on Android, with a new unified menu arrangement allowing you access to list and reminder settings in one place.
Unlike a number of apps, Google is putting the change front and centre when you open up the app on your Android device or on the web in their announcement box (that blue box when you first login).
The new feature lets you now access all the reminder settings and list settings, including the ability to change the way lists work, as well as the option to change your definition of what time morning, afternoon, and evening actually are when using reminders – handy for shift workers, or late or early risers.
The update is rolling out to Android through Google Play now, but if you really must have the new update, then you can always side-load the app. If you just want to have a look, the update is already live on the web.
It appears that there is a fair bit of overlap between Keep and Inbox wrt the reminder functions. Any idea on whether they will integrate?
And you can do similar through Google Now and Google Calendar as well…
Very surprised that Google hasn’t combined it all into one…
