The Google Photos web service has received an update today, and while it mightn’t be as big as the changes that the mobile apps receive, it’s still quite a useful update. Today we’ve got two new features — uploading direct to albums (including shared albums), and keyboard shortcuts for fast editing and moving things around.
Previously to add photos to an album, you had to upload the photos, then select the ones you wanted and add them to an album. This works, but it’s a pain if you’re uploading to a number of different albums and you don’t want things to get messed up. From today, that’s now solved.
The other improvement is the addition of keyboard shortcuts; these improve the navigation through the web interface, making it easier to move through photos and perform actions on them, such as editing or deleting.
The features are live now in the Google Photos web interface, so check them out.
