Users of Twitter will today be able to more easily live broadcast their daily goings on with Twitter’s live video broadcasting tool Periscope with the ability to launch Periscope broadcasts directly from the app.

The new feature lets you hit the camera button on a new Tweet, then select the ‘Live’ button that will then launch the Periscope app. Of course you actually need the Periscope app installed or you get prompted to download and install the app from Google Play. Twitter has announced the new function is available in both Android and iOS in their tweet this morning.

If you see something around that looks interesting, or headed to an event that’s interesting – I tried it at Google I/O and even at 3am AEST it got a couple of hundred views – it’s always worth firing up Periscope. Of course with Facebook Live now available, Periscope is doing whatever they can to remain relevant in the live broadcasting space.

Live broadcasting is a fun way to share what’s happening in your neck of the woods, if you haven’t tried live broadcasting try it out today. You’ll need Periscope and Twitter to try it out so head over to Google Play and grab both.
