With Halloween only a few days away, Nintendo and the Pokemon company have announced that from today, 26th October until the 31st October, users will receive additional candies and that there will be more spooky Pokémon available to catch!
The additional Halloween treats will see Pokémon Go users receive six Candies for each Pokémon you catch, which is twice the normal amount you would normally receive. Also, for each Pokémon you transfer to the Professor, you will receive two Candies instead of one.
Your buddy Pokémon on you will also award you a Candy four times faster than usual, and for each Pokémon egg you hatch, you will receive twice the Candy you’d normally get currently.
As part of this Halloween special within the app, the Pokémon Company & Nintendo have announced that the following spooky Pokémon will also be much more common leading up to Halloween. Keep an eye for these:
- Zubat
- Golbat
- Gastly
- Haunter
- Gengar
- Drowse
- Hypno
It’s not sure if this will require an update to the Pokémon Go app but its worth looking out for. You can also find more Halloween fun through the Pokemon.com/Halloween website where you can download Pokémon pumpkin stencils and you can share these festive spooky creations by simply using the following hashtag:#PokemonHalloween.
I would certainly like to try this as I do play Pokémon Go part-time, and I will be keeping an eye out for a Gengar and Haunter. So, if you know of any around Sydney, feel free to let me/us know where in the comments below.
Looking forward to getting a Gengar, I am close.
Have my Charmander as a buddy, they are pretty rare around me. All the candy is great!
There everywhere! And the double candy is pretty handy too! Probably out for some Chamander tonight!
Went for a walk at lunch and got sooooo many of these bar Zubats. Actually bad a lot more Meowths and Cubones than usual too… which was a bit strange. Ended up getting a Gengar from evolution I had that many ghosties pop up.
