To say that Pokémon Go has been a success is an understatement in any which way you look at it. The game has had more than 500 million downloads across all platforms and has generated an estimated US$600 million in revenue (in under a ninety days from its launch). Now it is set to receive it’s biggest update with new Pokémon to be added to the game.
Niantic and the Pokémon company have announced that more creatures are coming to Pokémon Go with more details to be revealed on December 12. Rumours circulating say that there could be 100 new Pokémon added to the game. These new creatures are expected to be from the second generation of Pokémon games.
With Pokémon Go still massive amongst the local primary schools (including one young 7yo Plowman boy who will now have to update his Pokémon guide on Google Drive) and this could be a nice Christmas present for them. Whether the game is as popular with the adults remains to be seen but this new update may renew some interest in the game. Most Ausdroiders here have stopped playing it, what about you?
