Google has just announced the finalists in their Google Play Indie Games Contest for developers based in Europe. The contest attracted nearly 1,000 entries, but Google has narrowed the selection down to the top 20 and you can check out most of them on Google Play right now.
The games have been chosen as they show they’re fun, innovative and have excellent design as well as excellent production quality.
There’s various stages, from here with the winner being chosen at the final event which will be held at the Saatchi Gallery in London, on 16th February 2017. While the finalists all win great prizes, the eventual winner chosen at the event will win additional exposure for their game as well as tickets to developer conferences such as Google I/O 2017, the Game Developer Conference in San Francisco and tickets to the 2017 Playtime event as well as some great hardware like a Pixel XL smartphone and Pixel C tablet.

If you happen to be in London at the time, you can apply for a ticket to attend the final and help choose a winner. The results of the contest should be known around mid-February but until then we can check out the games in the list right now.
