Google is inviting press to an event in New York next week where they’re going to launch a ‘brand new’ Google Earth.
The invites have been received by Engadget at least, who have said the event will take place on April 18th in New York at the Whitney Museum of Art. The event will start at 8:30 AM ET – that’s 10:30pm AEST for those in Australia – but it doesn’t appear we’ll be seeing a live stream from the event.
There’s speculation that the announcement will be for a VR version of Google Earth, inline with the new Web VR announcement made today, or perhaps a standalone VR app similar to the one released on Steam last year for the HTC Vive.
I’d love a really good DayDream app.
