Following the integration with Gmail this week, Google has introduced a new way to start a Meet video call with the meet.new URL – confirmed by Googler Javier Soltero.
Oh, and https://t.co/SwjpncUE5U works too.
You're welcome. https://t.co/nymOzf9tYn

The URL is a shortcut to creating a new meeting that saves precious moments. It achieves the same result as clicking on “start a new meeting” on either the Meet homepage or in your Gmail sidebar. You’ll be presented with a screen that provides you with a sharable link and join now buttons.
This new addition brings Meet into line with other Google apps such as Notes, Sheets, Docs and Slides that already have a .new URL. It’s a very small feature to save a few moments, but if you use it heavily and close your tabs when you’re done it has the potential to save a lot of time.
What Google services do you use .new shortcuts for?
