In a move that’s sure to please plenty of users, Kayo Sports has finally appeared on Playstation 4 and 5 consoles in Australia. To access the service you simply need to go to the TV and Video section in your console.
This will bring the service to a host of new users now able to access the huge amount of channels and on-demand streaming. Like a lot of users, Chris ditched Foxtel when Kayo because he really only had Foxtel for the sports. So while, yes, Kayo costs $25 a month – that’s still cheaper than the $50 per month plus sports pack on Foxtel. This also opened the door for users who couldn’t justify the cost of Foxtel just to access a few sports of choice.
If Goncalo Fialho, General Manager, PlayStation Australia and New Zealand’s comments are anything to go by, this could further accelerate the growth of the streaming platform:
We know so many of our Aussie gamers are obsessed with sport. Our exciting partnership with Kayo continues to make PlayStation the best place to play and be entertained and gives our players even more ways to watch all their favourite sports content they want on their consoles.
It’s a clever move for Kayo to be moving into new streaming options, perhaps onto Echo Show speakers could be their next big move?
