If you’re a Snapchat user, you’re undoubtedly aware of the Snapchat+ subscription service. After launching in Australia a couple of months ago, the service costs $5.99 per month.

As it stands, subscribers to Snapchat+ enjoy a number of features, including:

  • Snapchat+ Badge
  • The ability to customise their app icon
  • See who is rewatching their Stories
  • pin “BFFs” whose snaps you want to see as a prioirty
  • Share exact locations with chosen friends

The new functionality includes priority story replies, post view emoji, new bitmoji backgrounds and new app icons.

The basic explanation of each is that they’re making your replies visible, give you a way to sign off your snaps personally, add flare to your background and individuality to your app.

When it comes to messaging and social media apps, there are a lot of developments happening currently. It’s important to continue delivering new features and developing the platform to stay on top. Snapchat has done this, unfortunately, though; it’s at a cost if you want to use these features.
