Vodafone-4G-Ready
The rollout of the high-speed Vodafone 4G LTE network continues unabated, this time into the Apple Isle, lighting up our southern most state with 4G LTE in five areas after running successful trials south of Bass Strait.

The network has been switched on in West Moonah, Cambridge, New Norfolk, Warrane and Hobart Airport but with more markets coming soon, with Vodafone Chief Technology Officer, Benoit Hanssen promising an accelerated rollout in the coming months.

In the coming months, Vodafone will commence phase two of its rollout, adding new 4G (LTE) sites in the Hobart CBD, Bridgewater, Claremont, Howrah, Huonville, Kingston, Lauderdale, Richmond, Sandfly, Sorell, and Mt Faulkner.

Vodafone is quite comfortable in Tasmania, after opening a second Australian based call centre in Tasmania to offer local call support to customers joining their Red plans. So with that investment in people and infrastructure down south, Vodafone intends to follow it up with access to their 4G network for as many customers as they can, with the company looking to create a fast, reliable network in Tasmania.

If you’re in Tasmania and want to see if you fall within one of the 4G networks then check out the Vodafone Coverage Map. If you want to try out the network, then Vodafone will also guarantee you’ll like it or you can walk away with their Network Guarantee.
