Mr Simpson said of the Data-Bank option

To kick off the data-bank Telstra is throwing in 5GB of bonus data to start customers data-bank if they activate a $10 or $30 SIM Starter Kit by 29 January 2018.

Ugh, said nothing about this when I transferred from Optus to Telstra on Sunday… Oh well, that’s why I’m on pre-paid — options!
I see they have not changed the length of the prepaid plans and are still 28 days which is a ripoff still. I will stick to my solution of a longer life plan and carry around a prepaid wifi router which offers way better value for money especially for data and is good for sharing with your other devices too.
Interesting that they moved back to the “$X9” marketing spin values instead of the clean rounded values that they have been using over the past few years. e.g. $49 vs $50.
I know its nothing really, but it made comparing things so much easier… less head jumps required
If it had a sports pack, i’d consider it.
