Millennius have recently announced a new range of Android Tablets that are expected to hit their online store in the next couple of weeks. The two tabs are called the Millennius Smart N7 (7″) and the Millennius Smart R10 (10″). Millennius have stated they hope to keep the prices below $400 for each, which when you look at the specs after the break, is a pretty impressive feat.
First up is the new 7 inch Tablet that will come with a price tag of around $329, which isn’t too bad for the following specs.
- Android 2.1 (2.2 in the new year)
- 7″ 1024×600 24-bit TFT LCD
- 10-point Multi Touch Display
- 720MHz ARM11 CPU with 3D Acceleration
- 256MB DDRII SDRAM
- 2GB Internal Storage
- MicroSD up to 32GB
- Bluetooth 2.0 (EDR)
- WiFi b/g
- 3-axis Accelerometer
- Ambient Light Sensor
- mini-HDMI output
- 3.5mm Headphone Jack
- USB 2.0 OTG
- Stereo Speakers
- 3300mAh Li-Pol Battery
- Weighs 420grams
I’m liking the specs of that device, and can’t wait to review one for you all. I really hope it turns out to be a better Galaxy Tab competitor than that of the Viewsonic ViewPad.
The next Tablet is the 10″ Millennius SmartQ R10, with very similar specs, but a resistive touch panel 🙁
- Android 2.1
- 9.7″ 1024×768 24-bit IPS TFT LCD
- Flat Resistance Touch Lens Panel
- 720MHz ARM11 CPU with 3D Acceleration
- 256MB DDRII SDRAM
- 2GB Internal Storage
- MicroSD up to 32GB
- Bluetooth 2.0 (EDR)
- WiFi b/g
- 3-axis Accelerometer
- Ambient Light Sensor
- mini-HDMI output
- 3.5mm Headphone Jack
- USB 2.0 OTG
- Stereo Speakers
- 6500mAh Li-Pol Battery
- Weighs 720grams
This baby is coming in at $319, which really is a great price given the specs. I’m just hoping they’ll be out in time for Christmas. If they are, would you consider getting one over a Galaxy Tab or Viewsonic ViewPad?

@ Whytey – that is correct.. this is what you call trade company that is trying to sell any product with their margins… But you need to order qty. So not really good here and wont work. will just cost too much.
Getting products direct from brands is the only way..
For instance, jb selling samsung tvs is going to cost more if samsung was to sell to us directly.
The 7″ does sound pretty good.
Anyone had any experience with the Suli SL 7? The seem to be Australian based (at least by domain) htpp://www.suli.com.au and sell on eBay quite cheap, but they use the Rockchip processor. I think it might go as a Wopad brand in other places too???
Anyways, either way, I am quite excited about (what appear to be) fairly decent quality tablets that are starting to pop-up with decent specs such as capacitive screens.
Looks like a spam to me, who the hell would even find that website and click into it.. Nice try dude.
Sorry, but it certainly isn’t spam! It was a genuine comment/question from someone who has scoured the net looking for a decent android tablet (that doesn’t hurt my wallet) but one that had a capacitive screen. Specifications wise, the new 7″ Millennius and the Suli seem pretty much identical but the latter is cheaper. I was just surprised, as a follower of this site, that it hadn’t received a mention given the URL indicates some sort of Australian presence. I did do a site and forum search first. And I did try to use the Contact Us page to pose… Read more »
What I am looking forward to is USB on the go. I have quite often found myself wanting to get files off my USB stick onto my phone…
Don’t get me wrong, I am not an Apple fanboy but unless Android tablets get their act together that’s exactly what I’ll do.
I’d rather get an Android tablet but not as things stand at the moment
Does it have a ROM for the OS ? Sorry to keep going on about the lack of RAM but an SD card or even an SSD is no substitute for a decent amount of RAM. Both the Google maps and flash player updates gobbled up 10 megs each of my precious little RAM. The Froyo update gobbled up an extra 20 megs too. Had to uninstall the Epocrates app because that gobbled up 70 megs and would not go onto the SD card. My kids don’t have to put up with any of this rubbish on their pods. Sorry,… Read more »
Don’t like it?
Buy something else
There’s 256MB RAM which sure could be better but for sub-$400 is OK
2GB is the internal memory available for apps and updates etc, which is heaps you can put the rest on a MicroSD.
im talking to myself! haha, yes.
lolwtf someone stole my name ahhhh!
lmao. i think we have the same name. :p
pretty awesome
what id really llike to see is a 1ghz snapdragone or nvidea tegra2 processor with 512mb ram. if they made that, it would really be worth it. im not so sure about 700mhz with 256mb ram and a resistive screen.
Maybe next year 😀
Hahaha and they did use my suggestion of calling one a SmartR… although they’d probably already thought of it themselves
“10-point Multi Touch Display” is capacitive? Isn’t it harder to to have more multi-touch points with capactive than resistive? Normally I thought they max out at 5.
That’s capacitive, yes 🙂
Looking more closely at the pics reveals standard connections too! Micro usb and hdmi!
Some one please tell Millennius to stop killing the number of tablets they can share by putting resistive touch on the 10″. resistive touch is yesterdays technology
snapdragon is arm a8 jimbo, its probably overclocked or something
and it looks pretty good, ill seriously consider it if you give it a good review.
720 MHz ARM11- I’m guessing Snapdragon?
The 7 inch one is definitely more appealing, because resistive on 10 inches would be death.
Also, are these 2 tablets simply rebranded Chinese models like the Smart Q7?
Oh and either of these > T Touch Tab considering the similar prices.
Hell yes I would get the 7 inch one! That looks fantastic…
Damn, that 7″ one is looking mighty fine! Depending where the Adam comes in, I might grab it.
