Samsung have just unveiled their brand spankin’ new Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (confusing name?) at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Specs include..

  • 10.1-inch WXGA (1280×800) PLS TFT Display
  • 1GHz Dual-Core CPU
  • Android 4.0
  • HSPA+ 850/900/1900/2100
  • 3MP Rear Camera / VGA Front Camera
  • 256.6 x 175.3 x 9.7 mm , 588g
  • 7000mAh Battery

So this certainly isn’t the impressive Samsung tablet we were expecting — perhaps Samsung still have something up their sleeves. The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 will launch globally in March. Check out our comparison of the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 vs the original Galaxy Tab 10.1.

This might be the last straw for me. Don’t they realize that they are ruining the whole ecosystem by push out device after device for no real reason. This really frustrates devs and owners since it’s so hard to make all apps compatible with so many phones.

Every company should make 4 or 5 phones per year and maybe 2 tablets.

Please Samsung wake up !

What is the point of launching this?? Doesn’t make any business sense!

Spec wise it looks very much the same as the original (so far) which I’m actually happy with….If it had a higher spec then I would be tempted to waste my money and buy it (I didn’t need to get the original 10.1 tab 🙁 )
