HTC may have occupied the high and mid-ranged markets of the smartphone world with its newly-released HTC One X, One S and One V, but it certainly isn’t leaving the low-end behind. The render above is that of the upcoming HTC Wildfire C. While it does take some design cues from the One Series, it won’t be put under the same elegant name.
Being that it is a low-end device, specs aren’t mind-blowing, however, they are sufficient given the price range it’s expected to sit at.

It’s going to be interesting to see a variant of Sense UI (I imagine it’ll be toned down) run on a device with a sluggish CPU. Nonetheless, I don’t think performance is your #1 objective when making a cheap phone. No doubt we’ll see this launching here in Australia seeing as though each previous version of the Wildfire has made it to prepaid status.
It it’s got ICS and an 800mhz cpu then I don’t see how it’d be sluggish. It’ll be perfectly fine for anything you want to throw at it unless you’re into high-end games…And they’re better played with a tablet anyway…
Any idea when?
Wonder if Telstra (who have had the previous versions of the HTC Wildfire range) will stock it or if Vodafone will, maybe even both.
