We have confirmed via a source, and now Optus and LG’s websites, that the LG Optimus L7 is launching on Optus Prepaid, Allphones and Telechoice for $269. However, if you purchase it from Optus Prepaid online, you’ll get 10% off, bringing the price down to $242.10.
The Optimus L7 features a 4.3-inch 800×480 IPS NOVA Display, a single-core 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, and unlike most of Sony’s new offerings, the LG Optimus L7 launches with Android 4.0 on board. The 5MP camera can only shoot VGA video @ 30FPS, so this won’t be a great choice for anyone wanting to shoot legible 720p HD video. 21Mbit HSPA 900/2100MHz, Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0 round out the wireless connectivity options. External storage goes up to 32GB and there’s 4GB internal along with 512MB of RAM.
Not too shabby an offering from LG given the price point of the Optimus L7. You can check out the Optimus L7 in Optus Stores now.
It’s a good looking phone but once again Engadget weren’t too impress with their user interface.
but why would ya ??nexus quadcore for the same $$$
Because one is a phone, the other is a 7-inch tablet.
A lot of phone for relatively small $. Presumably these are locked to Optus?
The prepaid ones are likely to be, yes.
